Peter Matthew Bauer

Peter Matthew Bauer is the director of The Laurel Canyon Center For Consciousness Studies.  A practicing astrologer in Los Angeles, California he is also singer and composer and a founding member of seminal New York city art rock band The Walkmen. He has studied Indian or Vedic astrology for two decades beginning with Chakrapani Ullal in Los Angeles California, theology at Boston University and phenomenology and writing at The New School For Social Research. As a child, he was raised in Swami Muktananda’s ashrams in Ganeshpuri, India and upstate New York. His understanding of meditation and eastern philosophy arises through these formative experiences. He has interacted with many other gurus, teachers and healers from any traditions including Dzogchen Tibetan Buddhism, Continental Phenomenology and Existential Psychotherapy. Vincent Moon

Vincent Moon is an independent french filmmaker and sound explorer. He has been making films in the past ten years traveling around the world in quest of sounds, from stadium rock music to rare shamanic rituals, from experimentations in electronics to accapella village songs. Vincent Moon (real name Mathieu Saura, born August 25, 1979)  was the main director of the Blogotheque’s Take Away Shows, a web-based project recording field work music videos of indie rock related musicians as well as some notable mainstream artists like Tom Jones, R.E.M., or Arcade Fire. For the past six years, Vincent Moon has been traveling around the globe with a camera in his backpack, documenting local folklores, sacred music and religious rituals, for his label Collection Petites Planètes. He works alone or with people he finds on the road, and most of the time without money involved in the projects, trying to produce and distribute films without following the established industry standards. Michelle Mae

Michelle Mae is a contributor to the journal Fifth Sun/Fifth World. She was a founding member of bands, The Make-Up and Weird War. Michelle is a metallurgist with a speciality in esoteric remedial gems and a tarot practitioner. She served as director of Love Supreme Yoga and has been a long time contributor to the Washington Center For Consciousness Studies. She has studied Tarot with Thomas Caldwell and works with clients to investigate their present field of consciousness in depth and to explore and navigate their present life conditions through the intrinsic awareness of the field. Bill Baird

Bill Baird is a big brick building, and the following are the bricks:  coffee, aspirin, whiskey, the intersection of capitalism and artistic endeavor, popular music, public access television, graphic notation, Walter Murch, conduction, MaxMSP, sympathetic strings, humor, sadness, afterimage, long duration music notes, Gesamtkunstwerk, the self-help section of a new-age book store, repetition, leitmotif used as bludgeoning tool, thwarted ambition, inherent vs. projected power in use of symbols, video screens as projections and extensions of ourselves, old broken machines and/or technologies used incorrectly, more coffee, more aspirin, more whiskey, repetition, open tuned acoustic guitars.

Quentin Stoltzfus

Parker Biehn

Parker Biehn is a Berlin-based thinker working on excavating fossils and the meeting point of zen Buddhism, speculative realism, and Moby Dick. He is currently digging up maligned aspects of consciousness such as memory and imagination. A graduate of Seattle University’s continental philosophy program, he specialized in studies on phenomenology and the philosophy of literature. He has one golden retriever, who is a rather small Boddhisattva.
